It was awesome. I enjoyed this one even if I didn’t like the coupling… *GAG* I LOVED Snape… I’m thinking there’s definately more to that guy than meets the eye. He’s a freaking onion I tell ya. I cannot wait to see this book made into a movie and how Alan Rickman pulls off some of the Snape scenes. i love Alan Rickman as Snape. He does so well. I could hear his voice as I read the book and I could picture him. Of course I did go see the third movie in the theatre with the boys this week… could be part of it! HEHE Anyway, awesome awesome tale!
So where does this leave us? With a whole freaking lot that needs to happen in the next book. Holy smokes. It’s gonna be like 1000 pages, easy. My freaking goodness. With everything that has to happen? Wowsers.
OK… so… now comes the wait for the next two years. Anyone think we’ll get lucky and JK will get it out to us sooner??? We can but only hope!
I’ve kept this post spoiler free. I highly recommend though if you do NOT like spoilers and you have not read the book do not read the comments. I will not hold spoilers back in comments or in future posts. You have been warned! ((HUGS))

Oh I know exactly what you mean, I hear Rickman’s voice as Snape when I read. I can hear each syllable drip with Snapey sarcasm. 😉 I can picture the way he swoops around with billowing robes.
It will be a long wait, for sure. I don’t want it to end, yet I want to know if my instincts about Snape are correct. 🙂
Snape is not a killer.

I agree with you. *SNAPE* I can’t wait to read the next book but I agree in not wanting it to end.

I agree on Snape as well, from Rickman being perfect as Snape, to not really believing he’s eeeeevil. hehehe.

I like Snape. He’s one of the most interesting characters. And I don’t care what anyone says, he’s not truly evil. He’s not. I have my own theories about what happened in that tower…. and none of them are what the “obvious” assumption is… That Snape is a stone hearted evil killer… I don’t think that at all.

LOL – I hear snape as well. And I keep thinking about that scene in hp3 movie where the windows close as he walks past them – I LOVE that scene.
I’m with you – SNAPE is NOT a killer.

I too have theories on snape. I don’t believe the obvious. And JK seems to use snape in an ongoing theme about not jumping to conculsions about people – and I just have this gut about that being the case here.
and yes – sooooooooo much to cover in the final book. a wedding. finding everyting. and and and.
sigh.

That is such a great scene with Snape. Wham! Wham! Wham! Oh yeah!!
I’m glad there’s a group of us… Snape’s up to something, and I think it is deep covert undercover with the bad guys and everyone is just SUPPOSED to think he’s bad. I think he hatched the scheme with Dumbledore.

Blah, I don’t care so much about the wedding. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just glossed over. THey are such minor characters anyway.
I think we really got a good lesson about Malfoy also in this book with that whole “don’t jump to conclusions” vein. I mean yeah he was up to no good, but he didn’t have the guts. He’s all talk and no action. But he sure can talk big. Makes himself seem so much more than he really is.

That’s the point, you are not supposed to be sure. 🙂 That’s the beauty of Snape. It’s why he’s a chaotic character. He doesn’t seem to have any rhyme or reason, sometimes he’s good and sometimes he’s bad. The best characters are chaotic characters. Just like Londo on Babylon 5. (My favourite character, which btw I told the actor who portrayed Londo and he got a kick out of!)

Not really. It was pretty evident through the entire book that he was gonna croak. And it needed to happen. Harry hides behind the security blanket of Dumbledore too much.

Yep, I agree. I thought for a bit she was going to wack Ron.. but I knew that would just be evil. All the great ones get killed off… the saddest for me in a book was Alanon from Terry Brookes Elfstone series. Ever read that? I actually cried reading that… this one was pretty much a givin so It wasn’t that harsh.

Re: Totally
I’ve never read the Elfstones series. The one that got me the most was Masterharper Robinton in the Pern series by Anne McCaffrey. OMG I was in class in high school when I read that. I was sobbing. I ran to one of my friends in between classes and she had also just read it and we sobbed on each other’s shoulders. *SIGH*
