It’s just another Manic Monday…

Yes, yes it is.

This week I’m going for easy foods. Why? My kitchen is trashed. And by trashed, I mean absolutely demolished. My dining room table is in my living room.

Why? I spent the majority of today wading through scraps of wallpaper. The evil ivy ugliness is coming down. It is proving to be quite the nightmare, too. Now we have a system and it’s met its end. There’s still more work to do, but we’re working hard!

So with a trashed kitchen, and back breaking labour all day? You bet I want something easy!

It seems that some people are interested in my cooking days – the day that I spend feeding my freezer. Obviously, not my idea of fun when I can’t see my counters for all the stuff during the redo of a kitchen. I’m thinking in a couple of weeks maybe? But, you asked, and so I will provide. When I get around to it, in the second half of February, I will blog it!

So, here’s my plans for a menu during a crazy week of destroying my kitchen!

Monday: Chili and cheese and tater tots.
Tuesday: Pizza Hut – It’s Book It! night for us!
Wednesday: What we find… we eat!
Thursday: Pancakes – because nothing like breakfast for dinner on a topsy turvy week!
Friday: Spaghetti
Saturday: My husband’s choice – since I’m making easy stuff all week, I’m gonna let him choose something special and i’ll go pick it up at the store. I’m hoping the kitchen will be back in shape for said attempt.
Sunday: Crock Pot Beef Stew and homemade bread!

So there you go!

Oh, and since people sometimes ask – veggies are in the chili, in the stew, on the pizza, and beside the spaghetti in the form of a salad. And the fruits of the week are: bananas, clementines, mandarin oranges, and homemade applesauce.
