Time to buckle down and get life back on track!

What classes have I received certificates for?  I’m so glad you asked! Check out this list of awesome (though it’s super short):

  • Astrobiology and the Search for Extraterrestrial Life from University of Edinburgh
  • Introduction to Philosophy from University of Edinburgh
  • The Ancient Greeks from Wesleyan University
  • Science from Superheroes to Global Warming from University of California – Irvine

Yes, I’m a total nerd. I’ve always professed to be a Geek Gurl.

What am I enrolled in now?

It’s pretty hefty, but History of Rock 2 is just ending.

I’m not exactly sure what I will do with most of these classes, but I like that it’s getting me into the swing of things again. Maybe I can test out of a few classes and increase my credit count. If nothing else, it’s always good to continue learning.

I firmly believe we never stop learning. When the internet gives us the gift of further education for only the cost of our broadband access, why turn that down?

All the classes listed above come from Coursera. I found Coursera on a recommendation from a friend knowing I love online learning. I’ve enjoyed all my classes and am grateful for the way it’s helped me to improve myself! I’ve used Saylor for my children, and earmarked a few small things for when I have time. (Time? Not sure it exists!)

Note: Saylor partnered up to streamline some of their courses and partnered with ten different schools. This allows you to visit your local testing center for credit aligned classes. They also introduced several K-12 options – check out those maths!  (As of August 2013.)

Project Me: Continuing Education = win. Always.

How do you continue learning in your everyday life? Are you a fan of MOOC’s? Comment and share!
