OK, so Friday night was totally cloudy and rainy. So Saturday night came and it was mostly cloudy. ARGH!!! But finally? TONIGHT! Clear, beautiful skies. Glorious wonderful skies!!
Soooooo… out I go with the telescope. Took me forever but I finally figured out what I was doing. And OMG what a breeze! It is totally easy to align it with stuff and find things!
I saw Altair. I saw Polaris. I saw Vega. I saw Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. I even tried to find some fancy stuff but I swear all I saw was sky. Will have to try again later. I had to stop though because I was getting a terrible chill and I’ve been fighting a cold.

Now here’s one of Mars. It’s bigger because the thumbnail was just not as good.

I had so much fun with the telescope! 🙂 So neat! I highly recommend it. If you can’t afford one, borrow one or try to go to an observatory or something. Enjoy yourself!

Thanks! I look forward to sharing more. We have clear skies tonight but I’m suffering from a slightly worse head cold today because of being outside last night so I better not. 😦 Ugh… It is way too cold now. *SIGH* Oh well… once I get a bit better hopefully I’ll be able to check out some more neat stuff! 🙂

I’d love to be up near you… you must get the northern lights and i bet that would be fun to view! Supposedly further north in Ohio they have some but I don’t know where. Too far for me to drive… haha

Yes, I noticed it looked more compact and portable than some of them out there. It’s hard to view the sky at all from inside where we at right now 😦 Keep taking pics and sharing them with us hehe : )

I can’t really check anything out from inside. Especially because this thing automatically aligns itself by pointing at two stars. It is kind of cool. But I can manually move it but there’s not much to see. 😦
