We have the Baby Bible.

We’ve had it for a while. But a couple of years ago roughly, Caramon got a Bible from Granny Nanny. Not sure which one… I’d have to find it. It’s a little “bigger”. Still lots of pictures and lots easier to read. (Granny Nanny is with Hugs and Hope.)

Well she just sent a new one. It’s an even “bigger” bible. More of the real stories and fewer pictures. But I haven’t really looked at it. I do know that it is like NIV I think. It came yesterday in the mail.

So this was really mailed to both of them. But it is a little too big for Joram. And he gets all sad because his Baby Bible is sooooo trashed. The spine is ripped up and stuff. He loves that thing. He sleeps with it and looks at it and gets us to read it to him all the time. (His fave story is Samson the Strong Man) So anyway he is all sad. So Caramon runs and gets his Bible he got a while back. Now it had this nice inscription inside saying something to the effect of “Caramon hope you are well, Hugs and Hope” or something. He gets a pen and he writes in it something like “To my brother, I love you, Caramon” He then hands it to Joram and hugs him and proceeds to tell him that it is a good Bible and he thinks that Joram would really like it. Joram was so happy.

So today I saw them sitting together and Caramon was reading Bible to Joram. How cute is that??? I love them. They are the best and sweetest kids! That bible is still a little above Joram’s’ reading level, but all those pictures are going to help him. Caramon’s however I think is going to challenge him but is doable. His reading is really amazing. He didn’t really read and now he’s reading Goosebumps. WOW! And Bible. And other stuff. He loves to read to Joram. In fact he’s better at reading to Joram than I am…

Anyway, I have the best and most wonderful kids. I love them.
