OK we just watched it. Now i definately think some things could have been done better, but I liked it. It’s hard because DareDevil is not as widely known as X-Men and Superman and Batman and Spiderman. Let’s face it, he’s not. But he’s a groovy comic character and it was cool to see him on the big screen. I hope they make a second one that gives us more back story because he’s got an interesting one. Sort of sad they glossed over his and Elektra’s.

Some things I wish they had done.. Explained who Elektra was a little better. Explained how both she and Matt had learned their martial arts. Explained more WHY DareDevil had such weirdly developed heightened senses. Because well, they did like almost nothing. That cool frying of the optic nerve scene was NEAT but did nothing to explain how come he could function the way he could. Also I wish that Ben and Jennifer had had more chemistry. I tell you there was almost none. I think Jennifer is an excellent actress but after seeing her chemistry shine with Vartan on Alias and even where she has some whatever that chemistry is with Sloane, and Sark, and… well everyone on Alias… makes me wonder what the heck was up with her and Ben. Why was there nothing?

Ben did OK. I think he played Matt well and did a good job as a blind man. But I’m not so sure he was good as DareDevil. I got none of the feeling that he was really daring. Or feeling of vengence that DareDevil is supposed to feel. Oh well, he was at least nice to look at!

Colin, now wow. He nailed Bullseye. I mean hello… hit that one right on the head. I’m trying really hard not to pun here, OK? I mean you want to talk about shivers down my back? Oh yeah. That’s Colin as Bullseye.

Definately a bravo. And yay for being daring and introducing a lesser known comic character. 🙂 That’s awesome. WOOHOO Comics! Nice to see that Hollywood can do something besides Batman and Superman and X-Men. Don’t get me wrong, those are great and I LOVE them… but still.

I recommend it. But probably only if you are really a superhero fan. I think if you aren’t you are going to hate the movie.
