Well I’ve managed to make the code work to render a picture. Yay! However, I can’t seem to get my text to add to it.

And I have not figured out how to make it dynamic yet. So that a user can input their own information and have it render the graphic for them.

But at least I’ve got step one down. Making the graphic render. Next text. Then making the actual countdown. Then making it dynamic so that a person can put in their own date to render the countdown. Whew…

Lots to do!

In other news, we went to Church today. The most memorable thing was something we discussed in Relief Society about the First Vision. The teacher, Melissa, mentioned how every time she hears that story related, it is very moving to her and she knows how true it is. I totally relate. That is exactly how I feel.

Our Home Teacher came over today as well. Actually, it was Melissa’s husband! Small world, eh? So anyway he talked to us about the Book of Mormon. I told him how I’ve been listening to it on my CD’s. Sir Megabyte told him about how once when he was in the field he read the Book of Mormon in three days. Pretty cool! I had actually forgotten about that.

We also finished bleaching the basement tonight. All that’s really left is getting more bleach and taking care of the furniture now. Not too much work, but anyway.

Finally after supper we played Skip Bo with the boys. They catch on fast because well, they’re the smartest kids ever. Joram spanked us big time. Dang. Dissed by a five year old. Good thing he’s cute!

Well off to continue working on that code. Hopefully I will figure it out!
