Daddy decided that since this was his last Sunday with the boys he wanted to do something special.
First up? Skip-bo.

Starts off with Joram puling ahead. Of course. He’s the gaming genius. Boy kicked our fannies at Scrabble Jr last night. darned him. And when we last played skip bo… Joram won way ahead of us. So what will happen today?
Well as it turns out, Sir Megabyte pulled ahead of Joram after a rocky start and went out first. I followed him so then it was a grudge match. Joram v Caramon.

Caramon BARELY won. It was tight.
What next?

awwww and double awwww at the cuteness of those boys! sorry about all of the upheaval right now! what a ways to go until things get settled. i am really getting into this flylady thing, with cleaning and throwing things out. doing a little here and there really keeps the end in site, as opposed to having a major crash-cleaning session. (this came to mind after reading about the entry mess) (lol @ tha boys) it seems a lot of lil tykes dig working to beat the timer, seeing what they can get done in 15 minutes. i am just happier to be seeing a difference in my home, making areas sparkle one at a time gives me hope that this is something i can keep up. *sighs in happiness* **hug**

OOoh flylady!
I got annoyed with her. Only one room a week? I do her month on a weekly basis normally. HEHE I am doing her big “moving” thing now though. HEHE I do this ever other second it seems like since we move so much. 🙂
So far I have 9 packed rubbermaid totes. Aren’t you proud of me? All I have left to do is pack up my games, though I’m not sure how to do that well so it will be last. (Plus I want to keep some games available… sooooo) I also need to do all my knick knacks & china, and clean up my pantry. Finish up with my desk and I’ll be just about done up here on the main floor. Then it will be kids toys and books and other stuff. UGH. Yuck. So much work. I do have a pile growing to just donate to the first person coming by to collect crap… er stuff. 🙂
Good luck with fly lady! 🙂 Little tykes make it harder… but that’s about to change. I’m taking EVERYTHING away. HEHE They are getting almost nothing… ROFL. I’m so mean. But the house has to stay spick an span sparkly.
I’ll keep posting my progress. Hopefully it will inspire you along with fly lady.
(And the kids are totally cute… hehe wait till you see what is coming up in a few minutes! I’m about to pull some pictures off my camera to post.

WOW! it sounds like you are really rolling, and on the ball!! about flylady being annoying? part of my problem is wanting it all done at once, and not wanting to do it all day, every day. and getting more than miffed if it doesnt look perfect keeps me from ever starting, so, im flappin, just b-a-r-e-l-y. lol
on taking everything away: less really IS more. rofl. imma total convert, heh heh
good luck and well wishes with all

You can do it. Really it isn’t that hard. As long as you hot spot each day and stuff. 🙂 THat is, once you get it done. The problem I have is my family. Three slobs. I’m kind of B.O. 🙂 But they are slobaholics. As you can see from that front entry way. HEHE
I hate moving. We have a lot of stuff, but most of it isn’t stuff we can get rid of. Though I’m trying to be ruthless. We have a lot of furniture and movies and books. And craft supplies… And computer junk. 🙂

Skip-BO is good
We have so many different card games. Here’s some more to try for your camping trip… Boom-O, Split, Uno, Spaz (played with Uno cards), Nerts (use partners and need one deck of cards per group and they need different backs), Phase 10, um… we have more, I know we do… but I can’t remember off the top of my head what they are. 🙂 We love games… 🙂
Thanks, I am kind of partial to the boys… 🙂

well, i am slobberific, rofl, but there is just me, my husband, and a surprisingly messy cat. i have more issues with repair projects, or longterm projects than clutter, laundry piles, etc. my husband is wheelchair bound, so free passageways are a specialty (and shiny sinks make me happy) i have to *force* myself to sweep, though. ahhhhh, B.O….. i could dream. i’m improving, though
you sound almost near halfway being done.
junk accumulatessssss :>
we have vcr tapes, dvds, and cds, oh yeah, and games out the wazoo. i am bad with paper items (keeping sentimental or useless stuff. *steps out of confessional*

how is your cat messy? This I’d like to see.. hehe does it shed a lot or does it shred paper???
Junk does accumulate. Bleh junk. Go away junk. OMG… you haven’t seen tape collection till you check out mine… not only did I have two shelves on my entertainment filled with small vhs tapes, I have a huge bookcase with large cases, plus of course the 100+ Dvds you can see in my database… and that’s not even counting the scripture DVDs that aren’t on there! HAHA And games.. yeah… I have a lot. Filled my entire shelf in my cupboard with my washer and dryer. That’s a lot of games.
Paper stuff I get rid of. I hate paper. HAHA It either goes in a scrapbook, the file box, or the recycle bin.

well, the cat is a good cat, no intentional messes, a LOT of hair everywhere (it adds up, rofl). let’s see, he is a messy eater, and it would be smooth if i could toilet train him.
as far as clutter goes, i am kissing knicknacks goodbye. at some point, anyway 😉 rofl

I understand… I shed like a german shepherd. HAHA Lots and lots of hair everywhere. 🙂 And I know cats are little but those hairs add up like crazy!
Hmmm toilet train the cat like in Bruce Almighty. Nothing as funny as that dog sitting on the pot… ROFL. I’d love to see your cat 😉
Gonna chuck the knick knacks eh? i didn’t have that many… but then all of a sudden people found out I liked Precious Moments and BOOM. Within a year I had a collection of 50 things!! HAHA

i ‘specialize’ in collections. from stamps, to a childhood bunny collection that grew. i have things with flowers, fruits, all kinds of stuff. i have a few mushroom objects. i can’t get rid of dishes, either. i have always practiced a fondness for illogical (me=spock rofl) containers, ones that nothing will fit in, etc.
my cat is beautiful, lemme look around, and see if my sis has any pics of him.

See I have a childhood unicorn collection, not that many pieces. So it is for my spare bedroom hutch. I do collect rubber stamps… but that’s also crafting. 🙂 I have a basket collection of 7 baskets that sit on the top of my entertainment center and about 10 tins that sit on my cabinet tops. That’s about it. 🙂
HEHE.. hold on, weird containers…. let me go fish them out of the pile of donation stuff slap them in a box with your name on it and send them off… ROFL.

ROFL @ addressed to me. I SAID LESS IS MOREEEEEE, LOL
it’s kinda weird, because i used to work at goodwill, and i could literally *see* what was junk, and i still end up with all sorts of odds and ends. our house is like: white walls, with open hallway, living room, dining room, and kitchen having black and white floor tile (with black as border). an 11 foot bar. all black countertops and appliances. cherry stained wood in kitchen, and all interior doors are the same color, solid wood and about 4 feet wide.
our bedroom and back hall/closet is blue tile, bordered by black. the result is a lot of open spaces that have the look of a lot of clutter. . oi, i’m bad with words, i wanna draw it so you can see it. i guess what it boils down to, is that it is kinda stark, all straight edges.

Ahhh the progress is good! Today I did the pantry and it rocks. I pulled out all this stuff I don’t want to store. I’m gonna give it away. Like 30 pounds of flour and some powdered sugar and brown sugar and stuff. My pantry looks awesome! HAHA
I have no idea what my options are. I mean unless I want to file bankruptcy or foreclose it is just list the house and PRAY I get an offer as close to what I owe as possible. Go from there. Depressing. We closed on this house in October 2001. That’s barely been two years. It appraised then for a heck of a lot higher than 170. Like 30k higher for crying out loud. But that’s the best this lady thinks she can sell our house for. Scary.

are there things wrong with the house, that you could fix to help it sell for more? i know you make not want to get into that, but i dunno what tha heck to think. why tha heck did it depreciate so much!!! what a rip off. arghhhh.
30 pounds of flour!!! ROFL i’m like that with sugar, though, so i guess i can’t poke too much fun

Well I do food storage. I had just started building it up again. I also have like 12 cans of corn and 12 cans of potatoes and 12 cans of green beans… well you get the drift. But you can store cans a heck of a lot better than you can bags of flour. Though when it comes to it I might just give that stuff away. Forget it… HAHA I don’t want to move it. Canned food is not that expensive. ROFL.
THere’s absolutely nothing wrong with my house. It is only 2 years old. Most it needs is a vacuuming, a bit of cleaning, and a fresh coat of paint. In fact since moving in we have actually removed some stuff that needed removing and was pointless, added a KICKBUTT home network that is actually a completely customizable home network. Every jack in the house can be your choice… phone or network. Plus we added a security system. Oh and we added two cieling fans.
Here’s some of what has happened though since we signed the original intent to buy.
9-11-01
War with Iraq
Tire store moved into our neighbourhood because our builder sold land that they told us was to be a park to evil tire store guy.
School district went from top three to having to go to state minimum due to the bloody state slashing funding and people voting down a levy to get funding.
Foreclosures galore because builder also fudged numbers so people couldn’t really afford the houses they were told they could afford.
All this affects the value of your home. You throw it all together… some is not our fault. Some is the fault of our builder. Some is the fault of psychopaths who fly planes into buildings.
It is a total rip off. *SIGH* The point is my house should have appreciated. But especially the builder caused problems in our community really tanked us.

damn! you have done so much to better your home, it makes me feel so disgusted with this situation. arghhhhhhh terrorists attacking us had a nasty impact in so many ways. i wish we weren’t in a war i could choke the builder, but i dont think that would help 😦

Avoid them like the radioactive plague. They are liars. I mean sheesh, look at the ride they took us on. At the time my son had cancer and to boot? My hubby is a vet. I mean puhlease. Respect please!! My husband served this nation to keep bastages like you free and this is how you repay the favour? Well next time suck it up… next time Dominion gets kicked strait to the middle of ground zero. HA!
We’re hoping for the best. That we sell our house for not too bad a loss. But we are preparing for the worst. That we can’t sell it all and we have to like file bankruptcy or something. Bleh.
