Started off with errands. elfmyst called me and roped me into errand running with her. worked well and got me out. However I completely forgot to go to Uhaul for paper. 😦 Dang it! I’ll have to go tomorrow.

Then I went to the basement and got to work. I packed up pretty much all our books. All that is left is basically some science encyclopedia things and a shelf of books for me to read when I’m done with all this work to pass the time while I am living here with nothing to do.

I also packed up two totes in the basement. One with pretty much all my scrapbooking and one with pretty much all my stamping stuff. I do have some misc crafting stuff that kind of crosses over that I think is going to have to go into their own totes. I’ll have to see what I can do. I’m quickly running out of totes!! Left I have 1 tote I loaned to elfmyst because she was taking a bunch of my give away stuff. She’s supposed to return it. Then I have one with some junk in it that neesd to be gone through. I have one I’m filling with kid clothing that is too small. And I have two the kids swiped tonight to put kiddie area stuff in. That’s it. All my totes! Wow, they went so fast! 19 totes seemed like so many! But they went really fast! Of course Sir Megabyte swiped some for his stuff when he went to VA this weekend.

I took a bunch of my already packed totes to the basement now that I can once more get into that area of the basement. I stopped when my back started hurting. HEHE. I’ll take some more down in a bit. Then I’ll bring up those two totes with kiddie area stuff in them and go through them tonight.

So Elfmyst took about half the pile of junk I had pulled out to get rid of. And now? That pile is back to being just as high. I called her a bit ago and told her to come shopping again! HAHA. I should post pictures. ROFL. Too funny.

So tonight the kids did something to the water heater. And of course since it is gas I freak out and I swear I smelled gas. I went and got my neighbour. “HELP” he came over helped me fix the water heater but said he didn’t see any real damage. Thank goodness. He was like “Wow, you’ve done a lot of work around here!” Glad he noticed… it seems like I haven’t hardly done anything yet it seems like I’ve been working forever!

I talked to Sir Megabyte for a while tonight. He had a good first day. He had orientation today. So he learned a lot about the company. He came up with a good idea for a bank. So I need to research the bank. Of course, it isn’t here! So he found out what his work is going to be like. I guess he’s going to spend the next two weeks there at the main office. Then he’s going to be working on project sites. How exciting! He got the job he thought he was being hired for. So that’s kinda cool! It took him FOREVER to get to and from work though. 😦 Yuck. I think he is already anxious for us to get out there so that we can get a place a bit closer. We are definately thinking North Stafford now. Since he got the DC job he’ll be spending once things even out about half his time there and half at the office in NW VA. So North Stafford would be a good split point for the two. And he can still slug from there to DC so that’s good.

Well anyway, I’ve had a bit of a break so I guess it is back to schlepping. I’m going to take a tote downstairs and retrieve a kiddie area one. For now, enjoy this before and after of my basement!
