I woke up this morning with a poem rattling in my head. Not sure what to make of it. But unlike normal, I went ahead and wrote it down. It is I don’t know. I’m not sure what to make of it. I feel like I’m supposed to do something with it butI know not what. it seems to be about a military family waiting behind though. Some friends told me ti seems like a song to them though I hear no beat let alone a tune. I’m stool tooling with it. We’ll see what happens.
Today I finished up chapter 7. Took a while, took my time. I would work a bit and then lay down, close my eyes, and just zone out. Picture it in my head. Well needless to say gave it to said friend who got me writing it again. She’s been reading each installment as I churn the drivel out. Well I gave her chapter six and she vanishes. No feedback, nothing. Well I knew chapter 7 was going to end this way… she did not. So I’m sitting around talking to one of my beloved LJ friends who shall remain nameless due to the nature of our conversation, but he/she will know who I mean!! Anyway suddenly on my screen pops this dialogue!!
[Friend] you witch! a cliffhanger!!!!!!!!
[Ozma] haha
[Ozma] Yeah you say NOTHING all these days about the last chapter
[Friend] how f—ing unfair is THAT~!~
[Ozma] I knew i’d get a reaction 🙂
[Friend] I was evilly waiting the next one you DEVIL
[Ozma] I was soooo hoping I would hae people going “Must. Read. Next. Chapter”
[Ozma] See what happens when you don’t talk?
[Ozma] I’m MEAAAAAN
[Friend] LOL I’ll talk, i will!
[Ozma] You better
[Friend] it’s reallly getting good
[Ozma] You realize in my notes from the author I’m going to say “Blame that cliffhanger in chapter 7 on *Friend*!
She did talk though. Sang like a canary. HEHE… and she’s probably going around her house cursing my name. 🙂 mwahahaha. She liked the description of the ship, and also that this one character got something… she hates that guy. (Good so do I. Maybe he’ll die. I don’t know. I think unfortunately he’s going to live on to be hated…)
Anyway, I need to go to bed… but I don’t wanna. I want to rip out chapter 8, send it to friend, and have her rant and rave some more. Of course, unless chapter 8 tells me.. I’ve NO CLUE what is going on in chapter 9. So she’s REALLY going to hate chapter 8!
Other than that… not much happened today. IM’d with some friends about various things. Entered into a graphics contest with this graphic:
My picture
Anyway…. i now return you to your regularly scheduled friends page.

re poem vs song
does it REALLY matter which it is. After all if you take the music away from a good song – you have a poem. Personally it’s a poem – I think the ones insisting that it is a song WANT it to be a song and are pushing you. Don’t let others push you into something you don’t feel.

Re: re poem vs song
I’m just confused as to why they even think it is a song. *SHRUG* I dunno… I mean I suppose you can put any poem to music… but then you run the risk of having somethimg close to unsingable for the comman man, like say… our National Anthem? Sorry that’s a MUCH better poem than a song… i mean the words are cool, the music is cool… but combining the two? That was iffy.

Re: re poem vs song
true… but some definately have better beats… *SHRUG* Oh well. I tell you, I’m just confused by it. LOL. Probably because my husband has written a couple of songs and his rule… 🙂 and that definately is no where near that quality. Though if anyone could put it to music, he could… hehe

Re: re poem vs song
this brought to mind jim morrison, of the doors. he wrote poetry. other guys wrote the music. *wants to learn how*
a lot of different songs are just poetry. you stand a chance in almost any art form of people relating your art to themselves, changing it to suit them. you seem like a pretty talented writer.
