My husband just rang me. Here’s the background.
In Arizona we bought my husband a Virago motorcycle. Well we decided after moving to Ohio and not driving it a whole lot because of the weather, maybe we would try to sell it. Get out from under the payment. (Wasn’t really that high but hey 150 bucks more a month is 150 bucks more a month!) Well this friend of ours at the time, Bob, says he’s got some contacts and he might be able to sell it. So we take the bike over to his place.
When we found out we were moving here he offered to keep the bike and still try to sell it. At the time we had 2 weeks to move so it sounded good and still thought the same thing. Well we’ve regretted not just bringing it ever since. This was April 2000.
So after a while it wasn’t selling. But he said he might want to buy it but he had to talk his wife into it and yadda yadda. So we kept trying to work with him. But it came down to we just wanted the bike back or we wanted it sold so we wanted an answer one way or the other. I’d try to ring him. I’d get his voice mail. I tried to ring his cell. Same thing.
We moved into this house with Caramon sick with cancer and I really wanted it resolved. So I’d ring his numbers and I’d leave him more messages explaining the situation and giving him our home number, my cell, Sir M’s cell, yadda yadda. Said to please leave a message because we probably just were at the hospital, but please get back in touch with us.
We moved into this house in October 2001.
We paid the bike off not long after that. I rang and said we had the bike paid off and I really wanted it resolved. But still in his voice mail. Still no return calls.
So my husband finally gets a hold of a mutual friend and over the last six months we finally find out today… Bob wants the bike outright. For storage and taking care of it. My husband checked KBB. It’s worth 1800. We do not think this is a fair trade. Especially since it isn’t like we didn’t call trying to make arrangements to get the bloody thing.
So now I’m even more annoyed. GRRR
Well I’ve got the Title. So he can’t do much with the bike itself till he gets that. And we stopped paying for plates. So there are not valid plates on it. So he can’t just tool around the Ohio countryside on it. But grrrr.

No joke
Very tempted to drive to Ashland right now and sit my arse on his doorstep and not leaving till he wheels out my bike. That’s insane.
