So we got up here to Medina safe and sound, yay! After pizza and some debate we decided to watch movies in caliban27‘s basement on his HD TV. How cool is that tv? Wow. Widescreen and everything! Woot.
We watched Dogma. Very odd and goofy but fun if you like playing on people’s belief systems. Definately liked the Catholic WOW campaign. HAHA
After that we watched a modern classic, Galaxy Quest. Gotta love it! DVD and HDTV widescreen tv rocked. Definately rocked. And the DVD is so goofy, it has a language track for those aliens! ROFL. We of course watched a little bit i that language and made up ourown words, always a fun pastime! Who said MST3k was dead?
After that it was after midnight so we did RHPS. with the callback track on which just mostly confused me because you couldn’t understand what they were saying. Eh oh well. The DVD is neat and all but it is still better live where you can get pelted wth toast and water guns. ROFL. Does anyone ever actually WATCH that movie when they go? I don’t think so, I think everyone just calls back and mocks… hehe My gosh, and i only just realized Brad was the guy from Spin City… the mayor guy. Freaky man.
Went to bed way late. Woke up way early. Am now very tired.
Oh website update… it will be back up soon. My guy hasn’t gotten his servers back but as soon as he does or they go back online (we think they just were unplugged) he’s gonna transfer everything to his brother’s place. They’ve prepared the space and everything on his servers. So just give my website time. It looks like the court system might take a couple weeks though.

we were too tired to keep waiting, rofl… we had some games given to us, along with memory cards and controllers, by my sister, who knew we would be getting one sooner or later…. and i think that was a couple of years ago. LOL
the purchase actually came about because we cancelled his sat net connection… it was sixty bucks ?!?!?!? and we couldn’t justify that kind of expense to play games and chat with family. not when we can do the same thing for six dollars a month on dial up. so, hmm. now, i still need to somehow develop a network, only working with dial up, though i have given some thought to shopping around for cheaper high speed. since he can’t play pool (at pogo) all day (i’m on the net, already, lol) he needed something to do. so there ya go, lol *shrugs*
it had to be done…. we have to xbox, but i sorta dislike paying so much for games when we are unsure of their playability.
in other news, did you have a good time getting away for the weekend or what???

We have an old playstation. Lots of games. Well not lots, but probably like 10 or 15. But we haven’t gone to PS2 yet. I’m glad my old games will be playable should we upgrade.
We have a game cube. Expensive games there too. I wait till they drop in price or buy them used. A good thing to do though if you want to try games before buying is to go rent them. I also ask for friends to give me recommends. Plus I just buy stuff that is cheap. 🙂 HEHE I just saw one on sale for 10 bucks. A space one. I picked it up. Defender it is called and it is 2 player simultaneous. Gotta like that. I hate that a lot of these games are only one player.
Another thought is to see if you have any friends who have the same unit. Then you could share games. 🙂 You let them borrow x and you borrow y. I’m a big believer in getting my money’s worth so if I have a friend who wants to borrow one, fine by me!
I can’t wait to move. My husband and I do have a role playing one that we got. Well I haven’t played it since he left and it will be fun to play with him again.
And my vacation was AWESOME. I posted about it… go read my backdated entries I just made. 🙂

thanks for the tip, the neighbor’s do have an xbox, but as we haven’t purchased any games other than what we were given, we don’t have much to trade… i should look into some xbox games… i know they have a sims, which i find entertaining… which makes me think of how nice it is to see that price drop in games when they are no longer debuting.. i saw a final fantasy ten, for playstation two for like, seventeen dollars!! just my style! i don’t mind playing an older game at all! maybe as a reward when i finish resorting the file cabinets, heh heh.

me and the hubby teamed up on grand theft auto three, vice city, to whoop it’s butt. we won, yay! but we literally stayed awake wayyyy too long playing at it, pulling ourselves away is entirely too difficult, lol. shame on the game, lol.
well, like, 20 bucks for a four disc game is different than a 7 or 10 dollar arcade game (which we love, like pac-man, galaga, joust, tetris, etc) i dig the long, drawn-out rpg’s like final fantasy, though i have relatively limited experience (and 3D games sometimes throw me for a loop [i have an easier time moving mario or luigi around]) it is so easy to get lost in them for hours… *is so bad*

There are four disc games? Geeze! I do like pacmac… maybe i should look into it. I have a Tetris game for our PS. (Yes that’s original PS). But we love RPG’s. Those are the best. We have a fun Baulder’s Gate one for our game cube. I can’t wait to get back into that with hubster. It’s our cheap date night. 🙂 *SIGH*
As for Mario and Luigi… I suck at their games! LOL. I have never been able to solve those games. I generally die in that original one around world 1-4. HAHA. Sad, I know!
I feel a tiny portion of cool. I know have two of the three hot gaming systems! I’m so up to date… never happened till I got that game cube! ROFL… I never had an original nintendo till we got married. Then it was all about the Super Nintendo. But we had this old nintendo that worked half the time, only. Though for a while a friend had left us with a Super Nintendo and I beat the snot out of Super Metroid.
Anyway then he got his stuff back. No more cool games. Then at one point we did get a super nintendo with a couple of games… but by then the Nintendo 64 was out and there were no used game shops anywhere around so we couldn’t get Super games. Blargh. Then we traded an old POS computer for the ancient playstation. well we got the better deal in my opinion… haha. We’ve got a nice little PS stash of games. However our little tv has issues with the PS. (Now that we have the new VCR though I think it will be easier, just we just got it and been involved with move so never tried it out.) Last fall we got the gamecube so I felt cool. Finally, an up to date gaming system. (We got our playstation off our friend and like three months later the PS2 came out.)
Now I feel uber cool. We have a PS, we have a Cube, and we have an XBox. All we need is a PS2 and we’ll be fully in there… hahaha.
I think we need a new tv now. One solely for the gaming consoles… ROFL. That way I can watch tv and play the consoles… ROFL.
