I posted the family fun pictures to my moblog. Woot. I’ll put the thumbnails at the bottom of this post.

Today we mostly had to sit around and watch men sweat. The new heat pump/ac unit is going in! Woohoo. Hopefully this means for a better climate control system! Much needed in my estimation since this house is sweltering in summer and frigid in winter. They are actually running everything through the attic crawl space. This is interesting in deed. We wondered about the unit itself but it actually just sits outside like the old one. THey decided to put it on the other end of the house though so it is right next to the chimney in the family room. The good news is that since it is going to actually connect to the family room hopefully we won’t need to build fires in the fireplace. My mum likes them but they are hideous. The rest of the house does not get heated but that room it is worse than NC in August. Heck it is more akin to Arizona in August. I can’t understand how they stand it. But with as there is no where else to go at night I’d have been MISeRABLE this winter for sure. Hopefully now I will be fine. *HOPE HOPE HOPE* It is going to take them three days to do this work. But part of that time is taking out the old duct work from the crawl space under the house.

So mum gets up this morning and checks her email at which time a little reminder pops up “Take Kia to get door fixed.” Ok, so she panicks and we had to race her van over. One, you can set an alarm to tell you oh the day before. Two, use your PDA for this kind of thing. Three, use your Outlook Today. It lists everything you have going on for the WEEK. UGH! I’ve so got to teach her some order!

I spent the better part of the morning on with compaq tech support over my laptop power issues. It’s whole battery/ac/battery switcheroo. The person from the chat told me to call this number and they woudl arrange to fix it. Well instead they tried to have me fix it. Fine that’s great. I’d like to solve the problem without sending in my laptop. However nothing was working. So we also tried to fix the CD which has gotten worse since flashing the Bios. GRRR. Nothing there either. So they left me with a “We’ll research this.” WTF??? Research it? So supposedly they will call me. How long should I give them? *SIGH*

So while doing this since mum is obsessed with corded phones with very short cords only, I had to sit at her desk. So before I rang I grabbed a plastic box and I dumped everything from half her desk into it. I told her to sort it. She goes “Why did you do this?” I said “Uh, because you had no where for me to put my laptop while I was on with tech help.” She was like “What do you mean?” Um… totally need a flat surface, k? When you have stuff piled six inches high… doesn’t work.

Last night I recleaned the family room so it was nice today. Other than her computer nook. This morning I cleaned the kitchen while waiting for the guys to show up. So it looks OK. *SIGH* It is very hard to live in a house with five people who just don’t care. Well my husband cares more than anyone else but he doesn’t do much.

Surely you guys recognize my kids by now… but here’s the rest of the people:
Blondish kid is my nephew, Connor. He’s a month older than Caramon and a head and a half taller.
Dark haired boy is my nephew, Anthony. He’s something like 12ish. Not real sure, I can’t remember. His mother is hubbies step sister’s older boy and he’s half Puerto Rican and just a nice kid all around.
Dark baby is my nephew, TJ. He’s a doll. He’s Anthony’s half brother and he’s half african american. Very happy little boy.
Renee is in there somewhere, she’s got short dark hair and is rather short. I know for sure she’s in the picture with the water coming up. She’s my hubbies older sister. She’s Connor’s mother.
Wade is Renee’s husband. He’s the one who had the whole tumor thing and recently lost an eye. He looks amazing considering what he’s been through the last little while. Makes you respect plastic surgeons a heck of a lot. He’s doing super, in case you couldn’t tell since he got to travel to NJ from TN! 🙂
Gwen I know made the shot with the aforementioned water. She’s sitting behind Wade in the log flume. She’s Anthony and TJ’s mother. She’s my husband’s stepsister that is actually my age.
I know there’s a picture of my fIL, Paul. All the boys on the sofa with him for sure. He looks a lot like Sir Megabyte only older.
