Since our plans to go to Vienna were hijacked by my Aunt apparently coming down with something, we instead ran errands we had not run previously.
Among the hits were the book store. I now have my Peter David book for being autographed. It is one I have not yet read and was waiting to be released into paperback this summer. It is the sequel to one I somehow talked my book group into reading last year. It’s a modern tale of King Arthur. Last book he arrived in full plate mail in down town NYC. How do you go wrong? From there he ran for Mayor. Well in this one? He’s the prez and Merlin is frozen and was placed in the Rose Garden. Once more? How do you go wrong?
I couldn’t decide on an Anne McCaffrey book to get autographed. That only leaves Margaret Weiss and Tracey Hickman I believe. Though I did pick up two books for the kids to get signed. One dragonlance (a new one!) for Caramon and unfortunately they only had number 3 of the Darksword trilogy for JOram so we picked that up.
We also went to Best Buy looking for My Big Fat Greek Life but they did not have it. Not sure if anyone will. Guess it will be Amazon! 🙂 I don’t understand why that flopped. We just rewatched Wedding last night and laughed and laughed and laughed. Coincidentally we’d gone to the greek restaurant for lunch! Mmmm greek…
We hit the grocery store and the cleaners. We tried to get my husband cash but the atm said “Temporarily unable to dispense cash”! UH OH!
Tonight was Quilt Guild so off we went to that. Mum got a baby quilt quilted on her machine. All that’s left is binding! It’s awesome looking. it looks like rainbow sherbert. Now how cool is that? She’s got another to make like it as well. But all that stuff is on the backburner till after DragonCon. What we’ll probably do is I’ll pull out the Baby Janome and quilt it while she sorts stuff next month for Clean Sweep September when the boys are in school.
Ok… well my headache is encroaching again so I’m gonna take some aspirin and go laugh to My Hero and HOPEFULLY watch Nip/Tuck. In the morning my laptop is due to arrive!

OK, a little mature… but good. Last night’s almost had me in tears. The duo tried to help in the seperation of conjoined twins. Apparently they were grown, but one had cancer and the other was too weak to undergo the chemo. So even though they didn’t want to be seperated, they needed to be so they would each have a fighting chance.
It was a really touching episode. It is amazing what plastic surgeons can do that is actually GOOD and isn’t just butt lifts and tummy tucks and botox.
