Not much going on. Read a little, played on laptop to further test… so far so good! I did test with a store dvd and it worked just dandy, no useless error. So next up? Another burned DVD. I watched Welcome to Mooseport on it today. That was great. OMG, I was laughing so hard!! I highly recommend it!!
We had lunch at Fridays again. Fridays at Fridays I guess has been the thing for this summer! LOL.
Tonight we are going to try to go to a Cannons game in Woodbridge. They are a farm team for the Cincinatti Reds apparently. It should be fun. If we are among the first 1000 to show up we can get a free team signed ball. That would be cool. Apparently they’ve had quite a few go to the majors from this team so that’s also cool. My dad read an article in the paper (but I couldn’t find it online of course) today about how the team did really well this season. So I guess that’s good. He said the Carolina region is one of the better farm regions. *Shrug* Had no idea. LOL.
Speaking of sports, last night we watched the world cup little league softball game. VA came in second! Go VA! TX came in first. Yay TX! I’m real proud of our VA girls. THey had this pitcher that couldn’t have weighed in at an ounce over 80… she looks so tiny. (Of course this is tv so who really knows.) She got her whole body into it. I was just fascinated by the pitching, don’t ask me why. While watching my dad told me that they apparently added beach volleyball to the olympics. I couldn’t stop laughing. I mean frat boys everywhere are excited I’m sure. Even funnier is he said that we actually have pro teams in the states. Um, pro beach volleyball? OK, I’m sorry but how bad off can our nation be if we have pro beach volleyball players??? I mean you only play with two people on a team or something!! Not that I don’t respect those that can play volleyball or enjoy the game, but this just was very amusing to me. Probably because I saw way too many drunk frat and sorority girls playing while in college. And the bars all had sand volleyball courts. Dad flipped it to the olympics to see if they were showing it but we must have missed it. They were showing gymnastics. We saw over hte course of the night something like four or five girls. Every one of them screwed up at some point. Bad night for gymnists or I was bad luck. Since I don’t watch the olympics it might have been me. Sorry poor gymnasts. Didn’t mean to jinx ya. I only like to see the floor gymasts. And them only barely. The way they dislocate their hips and their back completely creeps me out. The hips act as though totally independant of the rest of the body and the back arch “banana” makes my back hurt in sympathy. Too many years of ballet I suppose.

I hope that doesn’t happen to me from ballet.

of ballet instructors informing to keep a ramrod strait back. To see those little gymnasts arch their back so unhealthily… and then of course their hips moving as if totally independant of their body… good golly I sound like Chandler and Lord of the Dance… bwahahaha.. but it is true. Watch them… they break their backs in half and their little hips and so called butt are completely independant… *shudder*
My back likes to be strait…

So does mine. When I slouch, my back starts aching.

You know, mine does as well. My husband looks at me and he’s slouching and he’ll go “Doesn’t your back hurt being strait like that?” I say, “No, mine hurts when I slouch like you are right now!!”
ROFL. He has horrible posture.

LOL… just wait, Sir M now says “Well it is too late, my body has grown like this now.” I told him it is never too late to adopt good posture habits. So wait till Oliver starts telling you that one! HEHE

He HAS! And I tell him that if he sits up straight, he will build better muscle to support his back. He won’t listen.
