My hair is so grey. It’s kind of lifeless. And I need a change. I’m just so bummed out because of my birthday and everything else going on in my life I have no control over. So I decided I need to spruce up my colour and cover all that nasty grey that is making me so miserable. A friend told me that perhaps to try going for three shades lighter than I wanted to see if it would work better since I’ve had trouble getting my hair to colour without going to the professional. Well let me tell you, in this new area they want to charge me four times as much to colour my hair because it is so long and thick. YUCK. No way jose! I don’t have that kind of funds, that’s insane!
Well I decided to try this deal out. Well I didn’t trust the couple of shades lighter, the box didn’t show that much of a differance when put on dark brown hair. So… I went WAY lighter. I actually like the sample colour, and I figure if it goes to that by some freak accident, maybe it’ll be fun being totally different. So why the heck not? Sure! So I scooped up what they had of this stuff and we’ll see what we get.
So… next picture you see of me… goodness knows what I’ll look like. I’m just hoping my hair doesn’t go green like Anne of Green Gables… that would happen to me… I have that Anne of Green Gables/Bridget Jones luck! HA! Oh well, if it goes green the kids at the school will love it on Friday and hey, I’ll just say I’m a 16 year old punk kid! Why not? It could be fun pretending to be a 16 year old punk kid!
So at any rate… I’m not ready to do it yet… Kids get home in a little over an hour and I don’t think that’s enough time. I’m really hoping to do it today though… If not today, it’s so getting done tomorrow!!! I hope!
I’m kinda scared. What if it freaks out my hair and I go blonde???? Chestnut to Blonde in two hours… woohoo!

Exactly. This is not the first time I’ve coloured my hair. It is the first time since College I tried for something massively different from my own hair colour.
It worked great, at the roots.. HA! My hair is just so dark it is hard to colour. Or it is grey which is also hard to colour. Most of the grey did get covered, yay! I can deal with one or two strands but with all the grey I had??? It was insane.
Unfortunately because of how dark it was, to get the effect I wanted, I should have tried the extreme blonde. *SIGH* I really wanted a total change. However, the colour is really cool so I’m not sure… I might keep it and try for the mega change next time if I still have the guts? We’ll see. I just don’t know. But it’s neat, you just can’t really tell a huge differance unless you look close or I’m outside and the striking red shows up better.
I only did it last night… so I’m gonna see what I think today and go from there. I might try to recolour a bit to affect more of a change… *shrug*
