Well War of the Worlds was awesome. I mean AWESOME. It was great. Beyond great. I wrote up a review on that as well. Then in an effort to continue trying out the podcasting thing, I went ahead and did a new cast based on War of the Worlds. This go round, I just talked as opposed to reading my review. I covered most of what was in my review I believe, but this was a lot more freeform I thought. Which is how the podcasts I want to do will probably be. Especially for that parenting site.

I talked to my kids a lot about the history behind WotW. So I included a lot of that in both my recording as well as my review. It’s just amazing some of what’s happened with that one book that HG Wells wrote so long ago!!

I’ve been thinking about how it is just about the 4th of July again. Where has the time gone? I’m trying to put together a playlist for tomorrow. I’m not sure what all to include. Hmmm. I’ve got a couple of patriotic songs CDs. But you know, I’ve just been doing the tunes like that and getting into the holiday spirit. Which has given me a lot to think about.

It’s so amazing we are in a country where we are free to do and say what we think. See I can sit here and rag on FOX News in my comments like I have been and no one can do a thing about it. Hey FOX News, you are wankers! I can do that to anyone. OK, no one can stop someone coming and decking me, sure… but I can say it without fear of being thrown into prison or getting killed or something. So many people in this world don’t have that, and I do. I’m free because of a few people who didn’t like things the way they were going a couple of hundred years ago and wanted to change it for the better. I’m free because through the years we’ve had the armed forces of this nation ready to protect that freedom no matter what.

I’m thinking of all our troops that are in the military now. Those who are here and those who are on other shores. May God be with them. I’m so thankful for them protecting freedom!

Anyway, so I’ve been all in that mode today. I’ve written up a few points for the parenting site and scheduled them to post. That’s one thing I like about this new software. I can sit down and type things up when I have the time and set them to post and then don’t worry about it. So I can do things in advance. That’s great! 🙂

All right, I think we’re going to the park this evening maybe. I don’t know. I’m gonna go for now though!
