We finished listening to this podiobook today. It was great! I’m listening to an interview with the author now. He says that this is the first in a series of books. I look forward to future books!!
I want to recommend listening to The Pocket and the Pendant or going to Amazon and purchasing the book. But the podiobook is for free so race over to podiobooks.com and download the whole darned thing if you want. 🙂
I really liked how the author combined a lot of earth history and sci-fi and fantasy. And of course how timely since this book deals with a tenth planet in our solar system and we just found a tenth planet in our solar system! Very funny. At any rate, this is a tale that travels through time as time is frozen.
I also just finished my two Tony books. So I’ve read Get Out of My Mind and Mind Trap. I need to get the third one now. Innocence of the Mind. Of course I’ll have to get Tony to sign that one as well since my first two are autographed. 🙂 They were great sci fi.
I can’t believe how much the kids liked The Pocket and the Pendant. They asked already what are we going to listen to next! HA! That’s OK, I have a book from their reading list for school in audioformat so maybe we’ll do that. Eragon. I hear it is great. My husband listened to it and enjoyed it.
Speaking of my husband, I purchased his anniversary present last night. This year is our 11th anniversary and it is the steel anniversary. Well that was easy enough, though there were several things I wanted to get for him… *SIGH* But his gift is being shipped here now! Woot! Should arrive at the end of the week for me to have with plenty of time before our anniversary next month! 🙂

I actually redownloaded the reloaded and listened to those. It’s the same story just he retooled the audio so it would be better sounding. 🙂 There are 14 chapters. The first two chapters are in one file. There’s 14 files, the final file is a Q&A with the author. So if you get that, do NOT listen to that until you’ve listened to the book first because of spoilerage. 🙂

still polishing, but I’d love to know how to find the right people to send it to. I am going to a writer’s conference in September that will have a fantasy publisher as one of the speakers, but other than that, I don’t even know where to start.

Go to a sci fi convention. 🙂 You learn lots about small publishers in the genre that way. Plus you have loads of fun! And you meet other writers like yourself! Win no matter how you look at it! 🙂
Hey you could podcast it. 🙂 There’s one podiobook that is solely podcast, it isn’t available in print. Boy are those rejecters kicking themselves in the pants. It’s all the rage.

I don’t remember now if the reloaded is chapters one and two or if it is chapter 3… I think he redid the first three chapters? Hmmm… Just download everything, it won’t take that much more time. Then when you are putting it in order in your iTunes playlist you can see what is what. 🙂 Hey I go for the easy route.. HEHE

Publicize what? I’m sorry, I’m dense? A podcast? Submit it to everything you can get your hands on from podcast alley to podcast pickle to podcast.net and etc. And if you can list it in iTunes that’s awesome too. And then just talk it up and ask other people to talk it up…

yes, I’m talking about a podcast. I don’t know how people get the word out on them. Itunes certainly wouldn’t list it until it had a few thousand listeners, from what I’ve heard. It’s an interesting idea though. I think it would be fun.

It’s so much fun podcasting! 🙂 I love it! Come… join… you know you want to! HEHEHE Well it will be listed in iTunes but it will be buried for people to have to hunt and find themselves unless you have a gazillion listeners on iTunes.
The best way is to just tell everyone you know that podcasts that you podcast and hope you grow from there. 🙂 Or if you are doing something in a theme, see if there is a network for that. Like: The Sci Fi Podcast Network 🙂

waaaaa…I can’t seem to get the ‘reloaded’. It is in my ipodder listed as “queued” and it doesn’t start. When I click on the reloaded link on the website nothing happens and the page times out. wa.

Hmm can you try to go to the page itself and download it by hand? I wish I could send the files to you. But they are too big to email and my MSN won’t send as you may remember.

Then skip the reloaded adn see if you can just get the rest of the chapters. 🙂 I’m not sure what the differances really are between the reloaded and the originals of the first couple of chapters.
