I have a PTA meeting this week. We moved it up from next week so I’m in extra crunch mode. We need a really awesome fundraiser idea so I’ve been so so busy trying to find interesting, fun, and different types of fundraisers. One idea I really like is a spell-a-thon because that’s actually educational as well as a great idea for a fund raiser! Another idea I really like is to sell school supply boxes so parents don’t have to do that in August before school starts. It helps to seperate the expense of back to school shopping to make it financially easier plus it cuts down on the shopping which can cause problems for children who get tired of being in the shops. Let them go buy all their clothes and be done in August. 🙂 What a great service!

There’s some other things I’m working on as well.

I’m listening to more Christian music right now. Who knows what will be next up on my iTunes though! 50s? 70s? Current? Rap? Filk? Who knows! Music is fun! I noticed I have almost 2000 tracks in my iTunes! WOW! It’s almost six days of music! (That’s the music. Yes I also have a month’s worth of listening to audiobooks and probably a week’s worth of listening to podcasts on my laptop… ROFL)

I was thinking about making up a 50s music CD. We had this great sock hop on Friday. OMG so much fun! And the kids were just all running around, giggling, dancing, pigging out on yummy pizza! I of course listened to a ton of my 50s music all day to totally get into Sock Hop mode. (Yes people I wore my poodle skirt! You know me, any excuse!! *GRINS* I love it!) I’m not sure what was going on, but there was a dance contest and whomever was in charge of the music just kept playing The Twist over and over. Well I have a slew of twist songs. I had several parents ask as to why it was the same song over and over. I said I wasn’t sure but maybe it was the only twist song available. So I thought well that’s an easy fix. I can totally make up a Twist CD with The Twist, Let’s Twist Again, The Peppermint Twist, Twistin the Night Away… Of course I could always throw Mashed Potato Time on there or The Pony… but if they wanted to just do Twist… At any rate, I figure the comment will get lost by next year if we do a sock hop again and it’s so easy maybe I’d just whip out a CD and offer it up. I don’t mind and it would give me a nice break from work for a couple of minutes. I love 50s music and have a slew! 🙂 Ok, I just love music! 🙂 It’s the inner DJ in me! HAHAHAHA Yeah I’m such a complete dork! I wonder if I should do that? We’ll see. If i get bored or brain dead and need a break, maybe I’ll do that… Why not? Hey I’ve just been in 50s mode all weekend anyway (and Christian music) … 🙂 Wait.. yup, time for Rock Around the Clock! WOOT!

I’m in a wacky and zany mode today. I blame it on the snow day! Yeah that’s it! *GRINS*

Ok, off to try to finish up my PTA work so that tomorrow I can go do some cost analysis “shopping” for several of these proposals. Then it’ll just be print off everything and stuff… Maybe if there’s time I’ll get to play with the boys! *GRINS*

I’m just happy I’m not too exceedingly tired today. I have been so busy and trying to do so much this last month I haven’t been sleeping a whole lot. So I’ve been really tired and feeling run ragged! Probably the after effects of that being sick and then having to be so busy and doing so much never being able to truly recover! *shrug* It’s all good though!
