We spent the better part of the morning writing. Joram hunched over his puppy dog notebook with his puppy dog pencil. I’m sure you can guess what it is he’s writing about. Caramon had to ponder. I told him to save his original book idea, which I was mistaken about, because it’s a project we are going to do for school. He finally came up with an idea to write about and informed me it’s a secret because he’s going to give it to Joram for Christmas.
Isn’t that sweet?
I’m sure you can guess what his is about as well now. Two completely similar stories from two adorable boys. I cannot wait until they are done. Both got bit by the bug and were scrawling out words. I’m very proud of them! Joram is almost to 100 words and Caramon has reached the 200 mark!
Their enthusiasm is exciting to me, but also distracting. It is a good distraction though and so I welcome it. I enjoy watching them as they busy themselves with such work. It fills them with excitement like no other.
We studied atoms in science today and we did it so late that it was a struggle. Should I worry that we aren’t going to cover things we should because of this NaNoWriMo project? I don’t think I will. We’ll get some stuff done, but this project is such a good idea for them creatively.
And how am I doing, you ask? Well I was still struggling today. I barely made my word count for day One yesterday. By the time I did, I was too tired to increase it at NaNoWriMo. So I left it be until this morning. I couldn’t figure out where to go next but suddenly inspiration hit. I banged out the last 700+ words I needed for today’s count and have now surpassed today’s count by a healthy amount. The words are still flowing so I am still writing. I figure with a deadline of November 30th looming over my head, I need to write when I have the inspiration and ignore all else! Though I am getting a tad bit hungry. Hmmm… maybe I shouldn’t ignore ALL else.
On the bright note, characters are developing. And I even have a bit of a plot forming. Heaven forbid, a plot! I’m much better off than I was yesterday! Best of all, I know what’s going ot happen next which I did not know at the start of today. It may have taken me all day of pondering and questioning and being lost and confused, but now it is coming together! Hopefully I will be on a roll now for at least a day or two.
Watch my wordcount rise. It will be most fun! I’m sure that as my wordcount rises, my sanity will plummet. Please, promise to visit me at month end in the psych ward? Thanks!
I have debated blogging my NaNoWriMo story. But I don’t know if I want to share unedited fly by the seat of my pants raw writing with the world. It’s just too scary. I did post the beginning as an excerpt at NaNaWriMo… I’ll leave that to the blogosphere. What do my fellow bloggers think? Nonserious raw unedited story blogging or no? LOL
Wordcount Goal by November 30: 50,000
Wordcount Goal by November 2: 3,332
Wordcount November 2 6:00 PM EST: 5,388 10.78% complete!
Go me!

I’d love to see any posts on nanowrimo except that it makes me sad that I am not doing it.
I love the wordcount thingy.

You should do it then! HAHA
Come on, not too late to join me! Only three days in! You can do it! 🙂
I love wordcounters. Nano has a cute one you can put on your page but LJ here doesn’t like png files. 😦 I put it on my myspace page. I have to manually enter my count here if I want it to show up. Le Sigh. Oh well.
You are the only one to sound off as to wanting to see the nano story. I’m trying to decide if i blog it where to put it. Just dump it here… elsewhere? How much at a time? Hmmm… Things to ponder.
IF you are a good girl I’ll let you read it if I don’t post it… 😉

HEHEHEHE Too funny!!! 🙂 Hey I’ve always been a temptress!! 😉
So I go out with my mom and she tells me this story idea that’s been bouncin around her head and so I told her she should do nanowrimo. So she’s gonna! I have to get her a WP though as she doesn’t have one. Hello Open Office! HAHA
It sounds neat. Not to give too much away but it’s a mideval set with a woman returning to the main city after her husband dies. She’s got her two children with her. I’ll leave all else for you to wonder on. But let’s just say it sounds like it has it all! Politics, intrigue, adventure, everything!

Ok… budding coming up!! *GRINS*
I agree. I especially don’t understand paying for something that is a worst product! 🙂 Open Office = Good. I do use ms office on my desktop, but I’ve been thinking about dumping it. Only problem is then no email/calendar. Le Sigh. But all our other computers in the house run open office. 🙂
