As usual our weekend was busy. I’m beginning to think there’s nothing but busy weekends for us! As we barrel towards the holiday season I imagine things will slowly become worse. Oh the holidays and the way they like to compound things!

I know traffic has already picked up on the main drag and I can’t stand it. It’s time to put the ban on driving on that road if at all possible until January. I know that it will only get worse as time progresses. When you take 15 minutes to drive less than a mile because of the traffic backup, you don’t want to even contemplate how it will worsen with holiday shopping.

The boys went out for the third Horrorclix Tournament. Caramon came in second and Joram sixth. I’m so proud of my children and am glad they have found something they enjoy doing. Caramon now has a card with a “winner” stamp on it.

I created two new role playing characters this weekend and got to adventure in the thieves campaign. I now have two spellthieves for that campaign. I had already created one, but while waiting around for people to show up I created a second. The DM (Aka God Mike), showed me some information on a species that might actually be cooler than elves. We’ll see. So one spellthief is an Elf and one is an Illumian. I think I’ll cross the elf and do something psychic, we just need the book.

The other character is for our garbage game – Everquest the RPG. My gosh, the MMORPG was not enough? Someone save me, I’ve been sucked back into Norrath. The adventures in the book are small and so we got the idea to set up characters and keep them around in case something like Friday happens again. (Traffic and work happened so God Mike and two of us were left twiddling thumbs not knowing what to do for a couple hours, hence the new spellthief.) We can just pop out a little EQ campaign and blow some time. Works for me, especially since I’m going to be stuck there every Saturday for Horrorclix for the next 12 weeks!

My book is coming along well. I spent some time writing. Woot! I’m well ahead of the game so that’s good. Best to stay ahead as I have a vacation coming over for Thanksgiving! I’m out of ideas for what to do now though so I’ve stopped for the night. Hopefully in the morning I’ll feel some inspiration!

I’ve managed to suck in my mother as well as one of my LJ friends. Mwahahahaha. Join me in the insanity I said, and they did. You may come visit us all in the looneybin at the end of the month. My sanity on a good day is questionable at best, so I can only imagine by the end of the summer. Please bring cookies and no sharp objects!
