I don’t know what’s wrong with me.  It seems as though I can hardly keep my eyes open.  Yet as my eyes droop, the clock on the task bar comes into view.  It’s barely midnight!

Midnight?  How can I be tired so early?  I’m a vampire… this is like the middle of the day for the likes of me.  Right?

Lately it seems my sleeping patterns are erratic to say the least.  I know not why.  It makes no sense.  My sleeping patterns have always been a little… off.  But, it seems I’m now taking it to a whole new level.

I woke up at 5:30 in the morning a few days ago.  Seriously, that’s insane.  What’s worse was I’d actually gone to bed at half past two.  Why does my body think it does not need sleep when I go to bed late?

So my body is doing really crazy stuff with its sleeping pattern. And I’m tired.  No worries, I slog through what I need to do.  It would just be nice to not feel like my eyes couldn’t stay open on the promise of a million bucks or a lifetime supply of chocolate.

Hopefully this will pass.  Everything really seemed to start when we changed the clocks in the fall.  It just keeps getting worse the more time that creeps by.  If you talk to me, and I sound a little out of it, you now know why.  Roll your eyes and figure I might have nodded off.

For now, I’m off to bed.  A quest that will hopefully lead me to Slumberland.  May all your dreams be pleasant, your night of sleep full, and your body rested when next you arise.  Me?  I’m going to hope that when I arise at sundown, I’ll be ready for the usual vampire fun.

After all, this weekend is the Blue Moon.  That’s a big event for us creatures of the night.  For you daywalkers, you might want to lock your doors and stay inside.

Have you ever danced with a vampire in the Blue Moonlight?
