Today started with me racing to my mom’s. She needed foot surgery which we just won’t discuss. Let’s just leave it at: OUCH!!!!!!! Did NOT sound pleasant.
While she was off doing that, I got to go babysit her sewing machine. You see, I got asked to make some t-shirts but my machine she passed down to me? It wasn’t up to this task. Bummer. I really wanna use MY machine! *WHINE* It’s OK. The time is coming!
(Meanwhile, anyone who knows how I can get software for this Amazing Designs box so I can pull my computer embroidery patterns onto something for my Janome 9000… I’m looking for help!!!! Lady O does NOT have a working floppy drive anywhere in the Kingdom of Sir Megabyte. I mean really… who’s used floppy discs in the last decade? For the record, my parents are supposedly looking to see if they can copy the floppies onto a USB drive for me. We’ll see.)
The good news? I got to play with my mom’s spiffy and new and totally groovy embroidery machine she got last year. Fun!!! OK, well, it was rough because I am the suck at pinning things. But, I made three shirts! YAY! I’m super excited about these shirts!
Then I raced around picking up the last of my youth photos, laminating sheets, decorative push pins, some pants for my boys… you know… the usual sorts of errands day activities.
Tonight it was all about trying to wrap up some more of these crafty projects. I’ve got everything ready to roll for the photo board but am holding out completing it in hopes we can get a second approved. I’ve got my crown (which is really more of a coronet) complete and most of my ribbon roses.
I watched some Sliders with my kids and we used the learning moments to discuss homeopathy, the history of penicillin, and my personal favourite – physics and the theory of the multiverse!
So there you have it. Just a little view into a random Wednesday for me. 🙂

I don’t know what’s going on, but for some reason I just got ALL of your LJ posts for the entire year, in one big burst on my friend’s list. I was going down them, thinking “Wow — how did she get all this writing done in one day?” when I checked the date and realized the one I was looking at was from March! The internet gods must be angry. 🙂

LJ hates me
See, I’ve tried five times already to get this comment to post. Hates me!
I don’t know why LJ eats my posts. I also don’t know why it decided to put backdated posts in a current post feed. They should have just been filed away where they belonged in the time stream. ANNOYING. There are many reasons why I have all but abandoned LJ. I really should just export my entire blog (can you do that with nearly 1600 entries in any way that would not be utterly painful? This is LJ…) and “move’ somewhere else.
Half the time I can’t even log in anymore.
That said, I think on my most prolific writing day during NaNo I wrote about 6k words. My brain then shut down completely. LOL

Re: LJ hates me
I think there’s some website or program you can use to back up your entire LJ, but I’m not sure how it works or where to find it. Oddly enough, I’ve never had any major trouble with my LJ, even though just about everyone else I know has. My turn next, I suppose …

I hope you don’t have to deal with it!
I keep thinking maybe I should just go and use my domain or something… *shrug*
