Sometimes it helps to escape. The last couple of months have been high stress and worry for me. This week, blessedly, came with a light work load. I’m sad I could not actually participate in NaNoWriMo this year, but it’s a good thing I decided to table it for the year. My stress levels could not handle it.
That said, I love my little WriMo group so I came out tonight to do some other work and get a change of scenery. If I’m not working [redacted], which isn’t real common anyway, I mostly am holed up in my house trying to get through some projects that should not prove as stressful as they are.
Dislike on the high and un-needed stress, right?
I’m feeling my brain uncramp. I’m starting to feel like my regular and perky self. There’s even some spark of creativity which I was actually afraid someone horrible completely stamped out of my person. I am glad that I do not need to mourn for this.
Where do you go to relax, get away, or just to experience a change of pace for whatever your work is?
Here’s my top five in no particular order:

- Starbucks/Panera
- Writing Group
