Wednesday is my dedicated sewing day with guild mates and about the only time I get to sew anymore. I’ve been needing the creativity outlet and nothing is as good as crafting with friends!

With our Regency Era costumes nearly done and the holidays quickly approaching, our minds switched gears over the last week which is what brought about the adventure with felt dolls

After a little shopping for supplies, we got to work. Sadly, shopping depressed me as I found one of those once-in-lifetime deals that I simply couldn’t afford. Le Sigh.

I worked on a lace nativity set, completing five out of the eight designs my machine can handle.

One guildmate worked on quilt squares for a friend. I love the Urban Threads baroque series!
The third worked on felt and lace ornaments:

Those are cute stuffies but wait till you see the completed lace clockwork snowflake:

Personally I think that would make for a lovely fascinator!

Sadly, the larger back piece is too big for my machine.

She also began work on a stacked lace Poinsettia ornament, she just didn’t get to complete it.

Not bad for an honest day’s work and visiting with friends. I can’t wait to see what we make next week!

On a side note, if you enjoy sewing/crafting you need to pay attention to my blog because I’ve got some upcoming news that may interest you. (Want a hint?)

What are you working on as the holidays approach? Also, if you have access to a money tree, there’s currently a sewing machine that needs an adoption fee so I can bring her home and love on her. Ha!
