I want to cry. I couldn’t help but hope beyond hope that it would not come to this. I knew in the back of my mind it would, but I hoped. I do not want war. War sucks. Trust me, my hubby was a marine for six years.
My thoughts and prayers go to our armed forces. You have my full support and backing. I wish you didn’t have to go into this fray. And more so, my thoughts and prayers go to the families of those in the armed forces.
I support Bush in this. I support our armed forces. I just wish that it hadn’t come to this. I’m a pacifist by nature. Why can’t we just all get along? I wish that more of the world was behind us. I think the world needs to put up a unified front so that people will learn.
I hope that you guys will all sleep better than I will tonight. I’m just sick. I think I might go cry now.

As you know…
…my best friend is in the Army Reserves. He’s state-side now (I don’t remember if I told you), and although he’s not happy about it, his friends and family, myself included, ARE. We’re only happy b/c we’re not wanting to be jumpy every time we hear the sad news of yet another soldier having fallen.
Bryan’s upset, which I can understand, but at the same time, I think he’s happy that his friends and family aren’t faced with the question every time we watch the news or hear something in passing or whatever, and are left with the “Is that Bryan?!” question.
It’s understandable how you feel. I don’t want us to go to war, either. I think I can safely say that most people on this earth are “pacifists” when it comes to this sort of thing. My friend, , is Muslim, and probably one of the dearest friends I’ve got. She’s American, 100%, but she embraced Islam when she was in college. She and I got to talking a couple months or so back, and she said it best, “Can’t we just settle this whole issue over a nice game of Tic-Tac-Toe??” lol
And she’s right. Why can’t we??

No doubt. It is sad that psychos won’t just come to the table and talk. 😦 So sad. There is no reason why we can’t get along.
I think the thing that bothers me the most is that we have so little support from the world. Didn’t they learn anything from WW2? The world said “Oh Hitler won’t do anything to us. It just affects Germany.” And then he spread and they still said “Oh we are safe.” Yet we see what happened. Well we need to take care of another problem and what is the world saying? “Oh it is only Iraq. It won’t bother us.” Yeah so you say until there is a bomb in your streets and troops over running your government.
We know far too many people who served this country. My husband was a marine. We feel for the troops and more so, their families.
I hope your friend doesn’t get called. But if he does, my thoughts and prayers will be with you just as much as with him.

I’m hoping Gulf War 2 is quick like Gulf War 1. But I have a feeling George W. isn’t going to be satisfied giving Saddam another spanking. I have a feeling it is going to be more like a trouncing. You know “Fool me once, shame on you, foold me twice, shame on me.”? Yeah I think George W. is gonna say “Yo my papa’s spanking was hard enough? Well I’m younger, meaner, and brasher, so take THAT!”
All hopes for a short war are flying from me. Yet you never know.
Why oh why do people have to be stupid?

I know, hun, I know… And I agree…
And I am with you on the GW2 being swift. I know the President’s going to be very swift and harsh in his dealings. ~heavy sigh~ I just wish they’d…well, it’s not very Christian for what I’m thinking, so I’ll behave. 😛
