I asked a friend of ours to come over and help me with the waterbed. It has to be drained so it can dry out before going into storage. So this has to be the easiest time ever draining this thing. There was even one time we had to lay stuff on the bed to try to get it to drain.
Well we stuck the hose in and just threw the hose out the nearest window. Since our bedroom is on the second floor, this was a pretty steep fall. It wouldn’t start but he’s great at siphoning (They’ve a pool he says he has to siphon stuff off the top every year) so he got it started and whooosh! Well we thought we might have some trouble but apparently not. It drained almost totally out and we were able to get the rest out by flipping it over the drain in the shower. Awesome!
So anyway, after getting the water started, we took apart all the electronics stuff upstairs. All the cables and everything. So that’s good.
Today during the day, I brought everything left upstairs. Well I’ve packed all of that now. So other than the furniture… there’s nothing up there left! All that’s down here is laundry and some loose things. I’m going to work on loose things tomorrow. Downstairs in the basement is just about done as well. But I’m happy!
Since that didn’t take us long to unhook all the electronics and stuff, we talked. He asked about the new toy so I showed it to him and we ended up playing Halo. You know, I was never into the whole first person shooter, which Halo is… but OMG was it fun. Of course neither of us knew what we were doing and so we were going “Did you just shoot me?” and stuff. We got totally lost on that first space ship level while not being able to figure out how to duck. And of course my favourite was when he looked at me and goes “Um, if you throw a grenade? Don’t just stand there, BACK UP!” Guess how he had just died? HEHE. So then we finally made it off there and onto the planet for I guess the next level? Well it says “Evade the enemy” or something to that effect. We both go, “Evad??? Naw… let’s blow them up!” Bwahahahahaha.
So I figure mom and I will have a blast. We’ll just totally run around in this game like a bunch of dorks not knowing how to do anything and just try to blow stuff up and end up blowing ourselves up. *SNICKER*
We did talk about gaming a bit. He is trying to convince me to get Sir M and myself back into Diablo. Of course that would take knowing where Diablo was. ROFL. He’s got a PS2. I guess most of their games are 1 player. Why are so many games one player? Argh! Games are more fun multiplayer. I know that’s the problem we have had with our game cube. Finding multiplayer games. And then a lot of times they are not multi at the same time. Playing with people is MORE FUN dangit! And I’d like the option of not having to go online… though that’s fun too. But really, I’d love a system we can play on together. DH and I like to game with each other.
OK, it’s late. I’m going to brush my teeth, settle into my sofa, and go to sleep. Tomorrow it is going to be finishing laundry and packing. it’s odds and ends now. A few bits of laundry. Linens. That sort of thing.

Just losing it till we get a new place. I don’t think I can live without it forever. *SIGH* How on earth do you survive? And if this house does not sell… then I may tell mum and dad they are gonna have me moving my waterbed in! I am firmly convinced that hip and back problem I had last time i visited was due to the futon. I’m debating buying one of those really good futon mattresses. I have a futon so it would be money well spent. It’s our guest bed. I’m sure the visiters to Chateau Oz would appreciate it. But ugh…
I’m on the sofa. Yeah the one with the cushions that are messed up. Woke up at 5AM with my hip aching. Rolled over… hips don’t hurt as much but ugh…

hubs felt maybe the water bed was aggreviating his bad back. he says since we got the comfort bed he feels better. i just hate how hot a regular bed feels. your body gets use to the coolness of the waterbed and i feel like i am laying on a oven on the regular bed. hopefully i will adjust over time

OMG… your bed was cool? How did you do that? Ours roasts. Though since my husband left I cranked the heater down as low as it could go… hahaha…
I hate that a regular bed makes you all off kilter. A waterbed forms around your body. My hips are screwed up. I mean they were weird before but after Joram with all those steroids and bed rest and messed up hormones and stuff… they are fouled for life.

I think my parents should get a sleep by number bed. They like exact opposite mattresses.
