So today I decided to watch a couple of Netflix movies. I watched Stepford Wives, the new version. It was definately interesting. I loved how they gave it some humour. Nothing like a dark movie that knows just when to make you chuckle. He… I still love it when the guy says he works for AOL and Nicole Kidman says “Is that why all the women are so slow?” Oh man… awesome.
This morning I watched the new Pride and Prejudice. It’s the LDS version. I must admit, it is rather scary how well that story fits into the LDS Utah culture. Heck the LDS singles culture. My golly I was snickering all morning long. Definately amusing.
Tonight I’m going to watch the second half of the destructo-storm movie on CBS. Woohoo… I’m ready for some destruction. And I’m glad it’s Chicago. Not enough stuff happens to the middle of the country. It’s always NYC, DC, or LA. Sometimes it is nice to see other places hit! I would love to see a good destroy someplace fruity like Fargo, North Dakota or something. Nothing against them, just some random place that popped into my head where virtually nothing is set. π Let’s get out of the rut!

It was a two parter. You should have gone ahead and watched last night’s! Last night was the real storm. Sunday was leading up to the storm. HEHE You’d have been fine. π
It was a fun one. Though they kept saying how bad the storm was going to be. They says Hiroshima and Nagaski times two or something like that. Well it didn’t look THAT bad afterwords… LOL I mean… there were still mostly standing buildings! I know, I wanted flat as a pancake…
I still love it. A hurricane over a lake. Riiiiiiiight. And my dad, who works at a power plant, just LOVED the “nation’s power is susceptable to hackers!” thing. We got a BIG kick out of that one. the system is so tightly locked down… I mean I suppose ANYTHING is susceptable… but yeah, they made it sound like ANYONE could do this and it really isn’t like that.

wheeeeeeee
it really is super cool!
the only old feature i miss is being able to ‘check’ programs and it change to it at the appointed time. like i want to watch something but don’t see a reason to record it.
but it’s still fabulous.
lol.
how have things been with you? i’ve read a handful of the most recent posts, but too sluggish to go back farther, lol
happy new year to you!

ROFL… DVRs are WAAAAY cool! I record everything. That way I don’t have to watch when it is on. I generally watch it later that same day/night. But I don’t have to deal with commercials or having to be at a tight schedule. Just record. π I’ve never really used an “automatically change the channel” feature. That’s just me.
Love your DVR! π
Things have been busy. My laptop ate itself and became a giant paperweight. (Same issue as before… the power) Had to send it in. Right at the holidays. So I fell MAJORLY behind myself at LJ. I have to give LJ some SERIOUS lovings… LOL
Things are good though. House still not sold. Hubby wants to move. Etc etc. π
