Do you ever wonder why it is that some nights you can just sleep and other nights you wake up over and over and over? I often wonder this. What makes the differance in the night?

I finished the second Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants this morning. What a sweet tale of friendship and carefree summers and young love. With just a sprinkling of reality thrown in. I understand why these books are NYT Bestsellers.

Next move? A bit bolder. Davinci Code. (Somewhere I can hear Belle cheering and dancing on the desk of her office in joy that I’m FINALLY getting around to it.) I have given up on this book EVER making it to paperback. I used one of my audible book credits to get the audiobook. This works out well because Sir Megabyte really wants to read it, but he’s going to the company office more and more and thus loses his reading time on the commute. He has to drive himself if he goes to Dulles because Dulles is in such a truly crappy location and not enough people go there to make a slug line. Well that and with really no HOV, why bother I guess. Who knows. So he loses all that time he had in the fall when he was just devouring books. However since he has a CD in his car, he can still devour books via audiobook. And hey, if he has to be stuck in traffic for 90 minutes to two hours one way, he might as well have SOMETHING to “do”.

So anyway, I’ve burned the entire DaVinci code unabridged to CD. 13 CDs. It takes a long time to rip from audible format to CD. About 20ish minutes. Give or take. From there I ripped the cd’s to MP3. this way I can load onto his pocketpc so he and I can both listen on there as well. Cool. Or I can listen in the audible format on my laptop. Also cool.

No Belle, I have not started it yet. I have only just loaded the first four discs onto my SD card. After completing the pants book. I will start it at some point today. Have patience my sweet Belle! 🙂

In other of interest things… I need to get ahold of the RS President to pick up some stuff. I have a bunch of stuff someone else brought me for the women’s shelter. So at some point this week I should be going to the shelter.

I still need to come up with a good project. Nothing is coming. We’ve had a rearranging of the leadership so things have been kind of hinky. But I know the new leader also wants to work in the community here, so I’m trying to find something that would be good for here.

My mother and I both have vehicles with dings in the windshield. Yesterday her ding blossomed into a huge crack. Now I’m scared to drive my car!! But tomorrow we get to sit around for the entire day waiting for windshield ding fixers to come. How fun! “Noon to five” Gotta love it! On the plus note, mine is still a ding and so not that bad. On the negative note? Her entire windshiled apparently has to be replaced. OUCH!

Oh, something wonky happened to our hot water heater. The kicker? Not sure what. Sunday it seemed to “break”. We suddenly had no hot water. My dad fiddled with it but didn’t really do a whole lot. Mostly he researched and made a shopping list for mum and I. We went shopping yesterday but geeze the darned thing seems to be working just dandy. So did it really break? Or was it being tempermental? Ever wonder about things like that? I sure do. Life can be crazy sometimes.

Well that’s about it for here. I’m hoping to get CHARMED today. Hope hope hope hope hope. We shall see. *SIGH*

I just need to find energy. I’m just so tired from not sleeping! I tried to take a nap after the boys left for school but it didn’t want to come so I read instead. LOL
