This week’s brag comes from Suzie.  I’m off having the time of life at Haven Conference and my phone chirps that she tagged me on facebook. Uh oh, I’m in trouble!

My skirts aren’t quite as cool as some of yours.. but I think it turned out pretty good for “winging it”.

Oh you know I clicked.

You can see the front of the skirt here.

Uh, Suzie, that’s pretty dang cool. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve looked at Customizable Card Games and thought they would make interesting clothes. It’s how I roll. Kudos to you for actually doing it!

The lovely skirt model is Suzie’s son’s girlfriend, on the way to Fandemonium. She used a simple wrap skirt just like the one I DIY shared last fall.   Using yellow broadcloth (like cotton and uber cheap), she added yellow bias tape for the hem. You know i dig that bias tape hem. She added a tie of blue grosgrain ribbon! Pizazz!

So what about those cards? She machine appliquéd those bad boys on with yellow thread.  Now that’s using your machine in a totally approved Lady Ozma way! Hey, if you can’t have ten yards of chiffon with metal bits, go for trading cards! I see everything right with this!  How do you machine appliqué cards? She says, “basically a zig zag stitch”.

Now you know.

Add in a few card bow accessories and you’re ready to go to your nearest convention.

And look totally awesome.

Pokemon skirt, I choose you!

Who’s next on the brag board?
