Pretty much enough said. I can’t believe it has been 12 years since the last Gulf War. And here we are again. Why can’t the world get along. I’m still hoping for peace and equality… where is Star Trek world? (Ok the Star Trek computers would be nice too! HAHA)

I must say I was rather peeved last night when the last five minutes of Angel was preempted for the news. And what did they say? A whole lot of nothing. “There’s AA fire in Iraq” Oh really? Gee I wonder why? DUH! And “The president will talk to the nation in 20 minutes.” Oh goody. Really, such important matters could not have waited a whole five minutes? I mean here I am watching tv and all of a sudden “BREAKING NEWS” flashes over my screen and the WB morphs into CNN. So hubby and I sit up in our seats thinking something must have happened. Something major. Oh, just AA fire. *SHRUG* OKies. Totally to be expected. Not that big a breaking news. *SIGH* I gues some people *wry grin* just don’t understand the importance of some things, like Angel! I mean really, they were restoring his soul for crying out loud! *GRINS*

The thing that bugs me the most is the loss of civilian life. It is just not right to use civilians as meat shields.

I liked what President Bush said last night. You can tell he is pained that it came to war but he’s not willing to let this go on any longer. It has gone on far too long as it is. Seriously, I think it shouldn’t have been 12 years to get to this point. Clinton, instead of weakening our military, should have been working to finish what George Bush started. Now it is on the head of George W. and he just isn’t going to stand for it. Well good for him. About time someone stood up for our country and showed how strong we are! Hoorah! Ack, did I just shout Hoorah? ACK USMC days are flashing back. I take it back! I take it back! I didn’t shout “Hoorah”!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to those still serving in our armed forces and most especially to their loved ones stuck here worrying. I also pray for those innocents that were put in harm’s way. Finally I do hope for a speedy end to this nightmare so we can go back to happy go lucky peace filled days!
